Tattoo aftercare

A tattoo heals in two to four weeks. This is how the lines stay sharp.

General advice. If I tell you something different in the studio, follow the studio instructions.

How it heals

Drag the slider through the first 30 days of a fresh tattoo.

Day0

Fresh: red, slightly swollen and shiny.

Illustration. Every skin heals in its own way.

First hours

Keep it covered

  • Leave the protective film on for as long as I tell you in the studio.
  • Then wash it with lukewarm water and a mild, fragrance-free soap.
  • Pat dry gently with a clean paper towel. Do not rub.

Days 1 to 14

Thin and clean

  • Apply a very thin layer of fragrance-free cream two or three times a day.
  • Peeling is normal. Do not scratch or pick at it.
  • Wear loose clothes that do not rub.

Weeks 2 to 4

The sea can wait

  • No sun, sea, pool, sauna or tanning bed.
  • Showers are fine, long soaks in the bath are not.
  • When the skin stops peeling, the surface has healed.

Forever

Protect the lines

  • Always use SPF 50 sunscreen in the sun.
  • Keep the skin nourished and hydrated.
  • If a touch-up is needed after healing, we book a short session.

Questions

How much does a tattoo cost?

It depends on size, detail and placement. You get an exact price after a short consultation, once I have seen the idea.

How do I book?

Fill in the booking form or message me on Instagram. A deposit confirms the date and is deducted from the final price.

Can I bring my own picture?

Of course, as inspiration. I draw the design from scratch so it is only yours and fits your body.

Does it hurt?

A little. It depends on the spot and your skin. Fine line is one of the gentler styles and we can always take a break.

Do you do cover-ups?

It depends on the old tattoo. Send a photo taken in daylight and we will look at the options together.

How old do I need to be?

I only tattoo adults. Please bring an ID to your session.
